You’ll learn how to take care of your home and children, prepare nutritious Finnish food and other things that will make your life in Finland easier. At the same time, you’ll also learn some Finnish language. Maximum 10 participants. No childcare. In association with Finlands svenska Marthaförbund.
Location: The teaching kitchen of the Marthaförbund in Jätkäsaari (Välimerenkatu 14). We will leave together from the Familia office around 10.00.

We’ll prepare and taste food and pastries from Finland and other counties. We also learn Finnish words needed in the kitchen.

For Spanish speaking kids of 3–8 years approx. Kids come accompanied of their Spanish speaking mother, father or responsible adult.
In the Spanish family club, we play, learn lots of new things, do handcraft and read storybooks. The purpose is to provide kids the opportunity of using their Spanish mother language in other environments.

The group consists of maximum of 5 people who know the basics of Finnish language, and who will participate actively and regularly. The discussion topics come from interests of the participants. Participants aged over 55 will be given priority.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 13.30–16.00 (23.1.–8.5.)
This course is for Finnish basic level learners who have a native Finnish speaking spouse. Finnish basic course for spouses introduces methods that consider the opportunities and great benefits that a Finnish speaking spouse and network bring to language learning. Teaching considers students' daily needs and circumstances.
An active role and motivation from the spouse is desirable in taking part for example in homework and meetings which will be offered along the course. While studying the basics of Finnish language the students and the Finnish spouses will also have peer support from others who have a similar life situation.
The starting level of the course is 0 and the target is A1.2. on the Common European Framework for languages.
