Have you faced ethnic profiling in Finland? Have you been stopped by the police and asked to identify yourself? Do you think it was due to your ethnicity, colour of skin, looks or the language you speak? Take part in the "Stopped" -open discussion event at Familia! "Stopped" is a research project organised by the University of Turku and it aims to understand why, when, where and how does ethnic profiling occur in Finland. The research group organises a discussion event at Familia. There will be a short presentation of the project and a discussion in which the audience has an opportunity to ask questions, share their stories, experiences and opinions on the subject. People who do not personally have experienced ethnic profiling, but have witnessed these kinds of events are also welcome to participate! No registration required.
